NOTICE: On most Sprinter vans the chrome strip on the leading edge of the hood is held in place with double sided tape and is easily removed using the directions above. In some cases the chrome strip is held in place with a black rubber strip. This is more difficult to remove and caution must be taken to avoid paint damage. Follow the directions above to remove the chrome strip. Once removed you will need to remove as much of the remaining rubber strip using a sharp knife or single edge razor blade. This step is critical, take your time to remove as much as possible with out causing injury to yourself or damaging the paint. Once you have removed the bulk of the rubber strip, use Prep-All (sold at Wal-Mart and automotive supply stores) and a rag to remove any remaining rubber.
